Devine Setups

Are there Devine setups?
The idea of prearrangements has been portrayed in a number of movies. I will briefly mention just two of them only to make my point.
The movies are “Coming to America” and “The Matrix”. I am not trying to endorse one movie are the other.
I just want to extrapolate the idea from them of prearrangements.
In “Coming to America” the idea of a King being able to choose a mate for his son brought us laughter. It also reminded us that traditions should not be valued above the heart (Love). It also reminded us that if success is to be that all parties must have a buy in. It left us with the idea that prearrangement don’t work when it comes to true love.
In “The Matrix” the idea that of a prearranged life that is unaware is explored. This movie taught us it is not until you recognize that there is a preset path for you and embrace that life makes sense. The movie twisted some truths (biblical) because it made you think that you could not make the wrong decision.
That being said, Hollywood almost never tries to give you a solid bible lesson. Therefore we laugh at the movies and allow them to entertain us. Most people never think about what the compound effect of these movies has on them. In “Coming to America” it only dealt with the finite of man and not the infinite of God. In “The Matrix” it dealt with the infinite but twisted the truth (the bible).
The outcome can be various. It could cause you to throw the idea of prearrangement out all together and just take chances on life. It could make you think you have no say and whatever will be; will be.
Someone once said “a confused mind does nothing”. Well I don’t want you to be confused. So where the bible is clear on prearrangement we will agree and where it disagrees with assumed prearrangement we will disagree.
Eph 2:10
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
NKJV
Eph 2:10
10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
(from New International Version)
The passage above is just one of many scriptures that reveal that God (Devine) had made much prearrangement. These prearrangements are often called by other names like ordained, beforehand, chosen, etc.
In fact God has a Devine path setup for our life. (Jer 29:11)
Knowing that God has prearranged our lives takes the pressure out of life. Instead of trying to make things happen, we can just obey God and watch how He unfolds things for us.
We don’t have to fear making the wrong decision, because we can trust Him to guide us.
You do have a chosen path like Neal from “The Matrix”. You can not fail on this chosen path because God has divinely set it up. It does not mean you want miss the mark at times. Just repent and get back on task.
There are people and place that you are meant to meet and go!
Just relax and trust God for your “Devine Setup”.

How's Your Baby?

Luke 1:41-44

41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said,"Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

NKJV

I like this passage of scripture; if you listen closely you can hear the Sprit of God speak to you.

You see both John the Baptist and Jesus were born with purpose. In the wombs of Mary and Elizabeth were concealed a catalysts for change. Inside of the babies were sealed their instructions and assignments for life. In this story we also learned that purpose recognizes purpose. (Remember how John recognized Jesus from within Mary’s womb).

I want to convey to you that all of us are born with a purpose and an assignment. That assignment works like a beacon; guiding you to your destination. You simply will not be satisfied doing anything else; other than what you were born to do.

Religious leaders have taught us for years how wretched we were and how undeserving we were of God’s grace. This emphasis has eaten away at the value of many devoted follower’s purpose and assignment. This has caused many Christians to just sit back and do nothing and spend most of their time fighting condemnation.

I want you to consider a word that we are all familiar with but in a different setting. The word is deliverance. Most of the time when deliverance is mentioned in a Christian setting it refers to demonic activities. I want us to think about it as deliverance relates to childbirth.

When a woman gives birth to a child, she goes into what is called a delivery room. The reason she is in the delivery room is because she is pregnant and it is time to deliver the baby. We easily understand delivery in that setting, but the reason delivery is encompassed in salvation is because we are pregnant with purpose and assignment from birth. The problem with this is that most people are unaware and search outside of themselves for significance. No one understands your assignment; except God gives them a little light regarding it. This is why it is dangerous to depend on someone else to help you discover your purpose and assignment.

A Good church should be like a birthing center that delivers hundreds of babies. Unfortunately, many are more like abortion clinics that destroys the babies.

I want to leave you with this thought. How is your baby? Your baby is your purpose, assignment, dream, etc? It was placed in you from inception. Have you check lately for movement?

If you have not detected signs of life lately, perhaps you are not around others who have discovered their purpose. You see purpose acknowledges purpose.

Don’t allow anyone to abort your dream. If it honors God, it came from Him and He expects you to fulfill it.

Paid In Full

I recently made a trip to Dallas Texas and visited the area for 7 days. It was a pleasant trip, but the temperature was constantly over 100 degrees.

While sitting in my motel room I was reminded of a story I heard years ago about a man and a train ride.

The story is about a man who as a boy loved toy trains and played with them. This love for trains prompted this man to desire to actually ride a train across country. His problem was train tickets were expensive. This desire to ride the train led this man to save money so he could ride the train. This was like his life long mission.

After several years of saving, the day came when he had enough money saved up. He then proceeded to purchase his ticket. After successfully acquiring a ticket he went home and packed clothes for his several days trip across country. This gentleman spent all his savings on his ticket and therefore knew he needed to pack food for this trip. The only thing he could pack was cheese and crackers and nothing else.

The next morning he arrived early at the train station and boarded the train with his luggage. The train slowly starts heading from one coast to the other coast. After several hours on the train, it was lunch time. This gentleman did not come to lunch. Some folks thought he must be sleeping and did not bother him. Later on the train it was time for dinner and they looked to see if this man was going to join them for dinner. The time for dinner came and went and no sign of this man for dinner.

Several other passengers on the train were just occupied with the fact that this man did not come to any of the meals. Some thought he might have been sick, timid, or perhaps he was just arrogant and did not want to be bothered with them.

A lady from this group was tired of speculations and decided she would find out for herself. She went to the cabin the man stayed in and knocked on his door. The man came to the door and said, hello, how can I help you” she replied, we have had several meals and notice that you have not attended any of them. We were concern and wanted to make sure you were okay. The man replied, “Thanks for the concern, but I am okay. I simply spend all my money on the ticket for this trip. I did not have enough to purchase meals and have remained in my cabin eating cheese and crackers”.

The lady looked at him with a perplexed look and said did you not know that the meals were included in the ticket price?

This man is like a number of Christians. They settle for less not understanding that Jesus death on the cross and resurrection covered everything. The price was paid in full for all your needs to be met.

Just Say So

Ps 107:2

2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

KJV

Gal 3:13

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"),

NKJV

From these two scriptures it should be clear that as a Christian you are the redeemed. You have been redeemed from the curse of the law.

The problem becomes that most Christians have never read Deut 28 to learn what the curse is. It would bless you to read it and discover what you have been delivered from.

The bible is actually a book that reveals God’s plan for His creation. He planned for you to be successful and to live a productive life. However, these things do not just fall on us. This is where many Christians stumble. They think that because God desire a certain thing in their life that it will just happen.

Truth of the matter is that God made us free will agents and we must declare what we want in order to attract it to us.

I remember being in a church service several years ago and Psalm 107:2 was read. The congregation was asked to recite it with the minister several times. Then he said “say so” after a couple of times someone in the congregation said “so”. No, this scripture is not telling us to say “so”. This scripture is telling us to align ourselves up with what God is saying about us. When we confess what God is saying about us, it attracts His blessing in our lives.

Mark 11:23-24

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

NKJV

Did you notice the number of times Jesus said to say?

Our words (confessions) are a direct link to our possession. I know there are people that talk about the name it grab it people. The truth of the matter we all talk to things and have been doing it for years. It is not a problem to curse and swear and things. It just bother people when you start blessing things and speaking well to them.

Let’s sum this up by saying you got to say so. You must confess what God says about you in order to receive it in your life. Professional people have already learned about this law and have used it for success. It is time for you child of God to discover what has been purchased for you.

Waiting On A Man

St John 5: 1-15

A number of people today are waiting on a man or woman to fix their problems.

This is demonstrated in our society in a number of ways today.

We can see it with the battle between political parties. One party is positioning itself against another to win the majority of the votes. They will say anything about each other the sway public opinion.

We also see this played out in our school system. Our schools are under performing in a number of categories as we keep looking for a man or woman to fix it.

The man in this passage of scripture had a need and he was looking for a man to help him. (This man is also referred to as the impotent man).

The man was not impotent, but he was limited in what he could do.

His focus on what he could not do blinded him to what he could do. Are you allowing your limitations to blind you to what you can do? Are you waiting for a man or woman to do for you what you can do?

One of the sure signs of this ailment called paralysis is that you can’t answer questions.

Jesus asked the man “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man responded” I have no man…”

What is God speaking to you? Are you responding I have no man?

I want you to see that you don’t need a man when you have The Man (Christ Jesus).

I certainly know that God will use people to work with you, but I am pointing out that you don’t look for people you look to Jesus. Let Jesus by the Holy Spirit led you to the people.

This guy was impotent, because he was entertaining impotent thoughts. His mind was fixed on how this healing was going to take place. He had images of a man assisting him done to this pool in front of the crowd. God is not obligated to do anything the way we have puffed up things in our own minds.

Notice that Jesus did not aide this man in getting to the pool. Instead he told the man to stop looking for a man and pick up your bed and walk. He circumvented his thinking and got him healed.

What thoughts are keeping you out of the abundance that God has available to you to day?

Stop looking for a man and ask God what can you do today?
